A multi-location UK Construction business was acquired by an Australian-based multi-national. The brief was to integrate the UK businesses into the IT network and ERP system used by the rest of the Group.

Issues

  • Legacy ERP system only financially updated at Month End and Year End
  • UK-specific construction legislation
  • Link required between new global ERP system and UK-specific payroll solution
  • Heavy reliance on inconsistent spread sheet systems throughout the UK organisation
    • End user process changed to focus on continual system input, providing real-time data
    • Worked with vendor to modify Group ERP system to comply with UK legislative requirements
    • Local Payroll solution integrated successfully with new ERP without any “first pay” issues
    • Translated 80% of the Excel systems back to ERP process on first pass of software cutover
